A friend of mine found this, which is the blog from the guy/guys bragging about the hacks that work through PunkBuster available for BF2, and which work with BF2SF.  If you watch for this type of behavior in the games you're in you can easily spot the a**holes who have purchased and use this thing.  I can't vehemently protest the use of this crap forcefully enough.  But this behavior is something Admins should be aware of and be prepared to utilize the kick/ban button they so readily use for lesser errors . . . like kicking a guy cause he's flying a chopper that happens to be in the way of the admins jet.   But I digress.  These hacks can be spotted and they should be reported to server admins who can do something about it.
Enough said.

"I would like to announce to all that our coder sheep as recently done a buy in to msx and is now a partial owner. Also I am very excited to say that the bf2 aimbot is now working for bf2.  Also new for the bf2 hack is full memory hacks once again enabled, including commander hack. This means nametags, minimap, health tags, etc.. are all working again, and now pb proof. The hack will be released through the ouch content distribution system shortly, so there is no reason to download anything new. You will just notice when you go into bf2 there is a different hack menu + more options. For the time being, the aimbot only has the options of autowall, fov, and hlh style or aim style. The aimbot will not aim @ anything farther than a certain distance unless you are a sniper and zoomed. nospread and norecoil is also not done, and sheep is not sure how long it will take for this to be implemented. In other news, the CSS hack distributed in ouch was updated last night so you all should have a improved menu now. The hack is still vac2 proof, so there was no need to edit anything along those lines. Ouch will be receiving a update later in the week which will add support for COD2, Fear and Wolfenstein Enemy territory. All of these hacks are full multihacks with aimbots, wallhacks, and esp and are PB proof. Thats it for now, all give a big high five to the new admin and owner sheep, and get ready to own! "

EA/DICE should find these blogs, track the ip... contact the isp for account name, ban the account name (for internet access) on BF2 related products

good lord... what possesses noobs like that to make those hacks?  with all the time they spend making them they could have been playing and getting better, and then they could own people without bright blue and red people running around with name and health written on them, map hacks, and autoaim...

fucking tools.

so whats the point? ... Hacks comes with games....why ? So Noobs Think they're cool...
what to do about them? well just like Virusses vs Anti virusses try to report as many hacks u can so PB can spot them fasters and ban'em dont stop with it keep going...someday they will be caught and they will be whining in their beds...coz ban BF2 hax with there IP and CD key...so if the noob buys a new copy of BF2 and thinks he can play again nope...his new Copy BF2 cd key will be banned coz the IP is still the same...so its a total waste of his money BUT THEY DESIRVE IT!

I've hardly ever encountered cheaters when playing bf2, luckily enough. When I meet one, I'll make sure to report him to EA. These lame asses deserve nothing less.

If u havent noticed by now. Even the hackers get mowed by the good people. if ur good u could take out a hacker any day. For example. I was playin with a hacker a few days ago. he was using the support non unlock to snip. No joke he would sit on top of a hill and snipe people literally a mile away. Trust me he wasnt just good he killed me like ten times because of that. But what i did was i took a tank and mowed him down. then i spawncamped him for about fifteen deaths till his kdr was like .5. If u dont have a tank available i recommend the come from behind and take him with the ak101.

To do that though means contacting a few different companies for the information, the company hosting the blog which won't hand over the detials unless they can prove soemthign is being said or done wrong, the ISP company which won't just cut off or block their internet because they use hacks on a game and then the person will probably have a bitch over privacy laws.
While hacking is illegal, when it's done in games only to boost one's ability then the law can do very little because it isn't damaging other computers or servers, the FBI certainly aren't going to chase up "someone has been using hacks in an Internode server lets get him" quite frankly they have better thigns to do, so do the law in general.
EA are the only people who can really do anyhting more than a "slap on the wrist" and even then they don't have the authority to arrest and charge people, cut off thier BF2?

No problem they have about 15 other cracked CD keys they can use, they'll mask their login ISP.

Fact of the matter is, hackers are here to stay, it's reverse engineering, it pisses people off, in games the law won't do anyhting about it, they market for it grows and the onyl thing you can do is avoid it.

I'm gettign really sick and tired of reading threads saying "oh noes I've been hax0red!" or "the n00by hax0rs have ruined my fun".

Grow up, deal with it and aviod them, when someone hacks, I move server, there are 2000 fuckign servers to choose from all ranked and not all of them have hacks. Hackers feed off this shit people, they goto forums and laugh at the stupid crap you people put up about them.
This is what they want, they want to to badmouth and insult them, they want to get pissed because most of the time that's what they're aiming for.

I've seen this other field of hackers, where they talk and brag about thier work, don't have to look very hard to see that, I've also seen the bitchiness of genuine gamers whihc intenions are good just don't shut up about it and don't relise that their bitching only fuels it.
I'm a genuine gamer, the onyl time 've ever worked a hack was to see how it works. Simply put unless someone can scan everythign on everyone's computer without them telkling and banning anyone with a program on their "hax0rs list" but seeings that's illegal in itself it isn't goign to work.

so in short:

DON'T LIKE HACKERS RUINING YOUR FUN, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO SZOMEWHERE ELSE, THEY ENJOY THIS CRAP AND THEY HOPE FOR THIS CRAP MOST OF THE TIME!!

But how are you sure some guy's cheating? Don't know, but I think it's hard to prove.

I was in a tank on mashtuur.  I'm sitting in between the mosque and the backyard.  Of course, I get hit with multiple anti-tank rockets all the way from the hotel.  I can tell they are coming from the hotel cuz that is where the smoke trails from.  Not one anti-tank missile was even close to missing me. Needless to say I moved up all the way to the wall at the mosque and dealth with those fools accordingly.  This was in a clan scrim so it is very possible they used hacks.  We still won one round on mashtuur so I felt pretty proud.  Also, they managed to hit stuff with the vodnik from just a little bit of a shorter distance for instant kills.  Also they managed to throw c4 across the road on sharqi from atop the building at the hotel to the south.  When I mean across the road, I mean all the away onto the sidewalk.  Try as you might you will never be able to throw it that far.

Tell me what you guys think of my story, hack or just skill?

There's a slight possibility that the clan recruited savants.  It isn't likely, and with what we all know about the new hacks being offered to make the playing field equal -- those who can't play playing with hacks so they can appear to play -- it is probably a case of an aimbot.  But not being there, not knowing the guys involved, it may be someone who has really learned to use his favorite equipment.  However, I like tossing C4 and everytime I've tossed it from the top of that building it never made the sidewalk unless I fell off and used a chute.

"...and get ready to own!"  The sad part is these losers with their hacks (if they do exist ) really think they actually own in the game when their lame hacks do all the real work.

99% of hack accusations are bollocks. Some people can't handle someone else being better than they are and scream hacks. They're a great Ego booster when someone calls you a hacker and you're not. A lot of people loved CS because of that. Face it some people are good at this game.

All online games are dodgy at times though, I mean I've seen people iceskate on asphalt and people who die jump back to life spin round and then die again! Obviously they must have used some weird hack to do that because I can't iceskate

There are hackers well they're not really hackers... Retards (more fitting) who use some program to make them appear better than they are but if you suspect someone of it do what the man said above and change server.

No one will think any worse of you, infact no one could care less really.

Its like gamers need a union. Boycotts and "strikes". What if every player stoped playing(yea right) for a month. Whould that shock EA into action?

In reality play on trusted servers or run your own.

I hadn't personally run into a hacker until tonight. I watched a sniper in close combat with his M24 out. 3 headshots while dolphin diving within a few seconds. If that isn't an aimbot, I don't know what is (I was on the same team, thus I'm not complaining because he killed me).

Thing about hackers... is that they can't play.  They don't squad up, they don't try and move away from enemy fire.... and they are easily spotted.  What it takes is people paying attention to the scores and how others are playing.  I've caught two hackers so far and they are now on the perma ban list from punkbuster.  I screen shot them, and punkbuster then tags their name for a screenshot when they are playing.  They then look at the screenshot.  Ever see your game sorta just glitchup for a second.. like a 1 second pause?  It's punkbuster sending your codes and a screenshot to their main server.

My idea is this - BF2 should implement the PBVSS feature that America's Army has.  Simply put, when punkbuster takes a picture of you're running, it sends it to the server.  With PBVSS, you can see everyone in your servers punkbuster shot by typing in the IP of the server you are on.  So if I'm playing on Server X with the IP of 1.2.3.4, and I think JohnnyGuy is hacking, I minimize for a moment, open up IE, and put in http://1.2.3.4 - itll show a list of everyones screen shot in the server.  And although you can turn your hacks on and off in game, if pictures are taken randomly or without notification to the user, there is no possible way that you can turn them off in time to avoid getting screenied by PB.

This would be good two fold - one, if someone accuses you of hacking, you can refer them to this and therefore have proof that you are not.  This ability should be mandatory for every server, except those that are not ranked.  Two, if someone IS hacking, this screenshots would be numbered and you could send that to EA for legitimate proof that the person is hacking, therefore having their stats wiped and their account banned.  Even though hackers can just use a new CD key via a keygen, I think it would take some of the fun out of their hacking because their stats would continually be reset.

This is entirely feasible - if America's Army can do it (the game is free to anyone who wants to play it), then EA/Dice can do it, considering the 50-80 dollars you spend on the game and the ridiculous cost of server slots.  Any thoughts on that anyone?

I ran into a hacker yeasterday.
We were on Dragon Valley, and he was at the top-left US base. The UAV spotted him, but when I got there, I saw nothing, and I was killed.
This happened about 4-5 times. Then I played as sniper, and watched the spot, where the UAV spotted this guy.
When a friendly came near, I saw the fire (dont know how it is called: the fire coming out of the barrel of the gun after shooting) coming out of the wall!!!!!
I tried to report him to an admin, but sadly, no response at all...
Anyway I've checked this guy's stats, but there was nothing suspicious...
His name was Ugglyone.

I like you - am somewhat confused - when weird shit like this happens - but I am not always certain about it - that it is a hack?

Is it a glitch or hack? OR me not really paying attention? I have experienced the multiple arty multiple supply box (or 2nd commander) hack - spawn hacks - and no fog hacks. Maybe an accuracy hack once or twice. . .

BUT,
If I've been killed by someone with a wall hack - I would not know this? There behavior isn't any different than when a UAV is my posistion (they know where I am and where my gun is aiming).

But the other day I was shot through a wall - was it hack? At first I am like cheater-hacker then I stopped venting - NOW I don't think so. . . I have shot people hiding behind a wall (LOL) - I could see his feet poking through the wall so I shot at his feet he died. That is a game glitch.

I am certain there are multiple forms of hacks out there - BUT bad-play overwhelms the issue of hackers.

Even if a whopping 10% bother to get hacks - I ownly get owned by great players - not hackers. A couple really good-great squads who communicate with their commander can dominate a rounds flow.
