OMFG N00B TECH POSTERS ALERT!

533 divided by 2 = 266. DDR2 ram = Double Data Rate. Which means your ram runs twice as fast when put into dual channel mode.
It's funny how you'd post something as arrogant as that, but yet you don't know what you're talking about.

Dual channel has absolutely nothing to do with DDR. Dual channel is basically double the bandwidth.
DDR works best in dual channel. Hence the name DOUBLE DATA rate.
I wish I could help you out of this one . . . but I REALLY can't.

Double Data Rate means that the frequency of the memory is multiplied by two. Dual channel on the other hand, increases the bandwith of the memory. Two TOTALLY different things.

You can have ONE stick of DDR-400, and it will RUN at 200Mhz. You pair it with another stick and run it in dual channel - guess what? It's still running 200Mhz. DDR-400 is called DDR-400 because it's, well, DDR! The memory is only running at 200Mhz, but since it's DOUBLE data rate, it's effectively running at 400Mhz.

And lets examine the "name," shall we? "Double Data Rate" means that the Rate the RAM sends Data is Doubled.

Win some lose some.
At least we helped the OP figure out his problem!

Dude, Double Data Rate has NOTHING to do with Dual channel.

Here's how I explain Dual channel:

Say you have a 4 lane highway, and you have 8 trucks full of bricks. The trucks can only travel at 30MPH. Obviously the 4 trucks in front can get to the destination before the 4 trucks behind it.

Now, Dual channel would put 8 lanes in that road, so all the trucks can arrive at the destination at the exact same time.

You can't even buy "Dual channel RAM", the Dual channel is done by the motherboard. All you do for the RAM is get a matched set, with identical timings and frequencies.
Ok.

I have the same problem, it`s just the dual channel...
