Vet/Expert Zipline Badges

I'm noticing that some people managed to get these badges, and I'm wondering how it was done. Vet is supposed to take 3000 uses, while expert is 6500, but is this actually what it took to get them? The thought of sitting there shooting a wall 3000-6500 times doesn't sound too appealing.

Are the numbers right? Wrong? Or is it just a time requirement? Anyone that has one, feel free to chime in.

Oh my God LOL are you serious? I don't play my SF that much nor do I have either of even the basic badges... but 3000-6500 times?! Jesus!

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I'll have to just start ziplining at random if I ever hope to see these badges.

i got my expert, but my comp decided to freeze before the round ended, thus not registering it
i just went across 5 or 6 buildings on a near empty server, for about an hour

lol yes, yes i am. actually got veteran legit from ziplining a crapload(love zip and grapple, use em a lot, but dunno if grapple is counted. havent gotten vet with it tho ziplined a bit more than grappled) but then i shot a wall while watching bad action movies on tv for expert, took about 2.5 hours to go from vet to expert

thats interesting considering my vet/expert zipline badges werent awarded during the round, they just appeared in my bfhq(and did for everyone else ive talked to with the confirmed badge)...

i smell a liar.

lol.... ok...

what can i say, they add a whole new option strategically and specops/assault are some of my fav infantry kits so i use em a ton. went thru the maps on low player servers just finding good routes/spots to use em at.

i think ya missed my point, but the same thing occurs for vet zip, it doesnt get awarded in-round, it just shows up in bfhq. so how did u get the award mid-round then crash and not get it was my question.

if you say so, i havent even played SF that much since it came out aside from a few lan parties with friends. other than that ive been preparing for the holidays with my beautiful wife while on break from my fun/profitable job, relaxing with my friends/family. youre right, my life sucks.

i probably got a fair amount of ziplines from exploring the maps on low player servers, trying to find good zip/grapple routes/spots, other than that when LANning it with friends i was usually the designated zipper, my other friend was often the grapple guy, and another with gas or AT usually. and as for getting the expert one i was watching bad action movies on tv, but it wasnt exactly intellectually engaging or anything, so i was free to multitask and hit 3 buttons in succession while watching tv for a couple hours. so sue me.

id say the reqs are prob a little lower than in ubar, looking at how long yiterp has played spec forces i dont think he could have had that 13,000 graple and zips.

lets think about this it takes say 5 secs to deploy zip and pick it up, thats 9 hrs

now for the hook you cant just throw it, you need to actually climb up it. so leyts say it was on small building it would take what...about 15 secs each time? thats 27 hrs, and thats if its all low climbs.

yiterp has played sf for 135 hrs, now i guess only yiterp can answer this but do you think you would have used these items for a quarter of your total play time?

if so then....well done
