I have nightfall in middle earth and a night at the opera.  I love them both, but I like nightfall a little more.

If you like blind guardian, i need a recommendation for a CD or two to ask my wife to get me for Christmas.

Please help

The only full cd I have of theirs is the newest one (Twist in the Myth) i think. I do NOT reccomend it, I would get a different one

Great band, I absolutely love their music, but I guess it's down to which CD you like to be honest.  I love Night at the Opera, and I would recommend Somewhere Far Beyond as well as Imaginations from the Otherside.  My preference for the two, though, I would probably have to recommend Imaginations, the music is great, and there are so many of my favorites on there.

If you like Blind Guardian though, you might also want to take a look at Iced Earth and Demons and Wizards if you haven't already.  Nice to see another fan out there.

I have 5 Iced Earth CDs, and they're all good (except the glorious burden, IMO).  I heard Touched by the Crimson King on myspace when searching for a different band and I liked it so much that I bought that CD by D&W and both Nightfall and Night at the Opera by Blind Guardian without hearing anything else by them.  I LOVE IT!

Eventually I'll get all their CDs but i've found that if I get more than 2 or 3 at a time I never get to appreciate a CD fully.

Thank you for your recommendations.  +1 for having fantastic musical taste
