Stupid iPod

Okay, well I got my iPOd songs transferred onto my new computer. I can play the songs on my computer, and can still listen to them on my iPod.

However, when I add some songs and update my iPod, it says updating and then stops. I check my iPod but the songs aren't on there. How do I get the songs on my iPod?

I know it has something to do with my new computer.

Dunno if I have the same problem, but anyway. Sometimes I just try to add a single song and then I look it up, add it, it goes to the library screen but the new song doesn't appear..?

Cause I had to add songs to a playlist for them to upload to the iPod.

Josh, If you read my post, I said I pressed update, but they still wouldn't come on my iPod.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I think it needs to be in a playlist that gets updated to your Ipod dude

go to >edit>preferences then click on the Ipod tab and make sure the playlist the song is in is being updated to your Ipod.

let us know if that works

The library and the iPod are 2 different directorys, sorta like a partition on a hard drive. Let's say you have iTunes open, and you want to xfer all of your library to your iPod; assuming the iPod is connected and recognized, click and drag the library folder over to the name of your iPod. Click File > update ipod, you'll see all of the files beginning to 'convert'. That's all you need to do, a simple google search will help you if you need more info.

Misconfig, I already have all my songs on my iTunes ibrary and my iPod. I don't need to put them all but on, I just need to know how to update my iPod now.

have u got ipod plugged into computer?

in itunes, is there a little ipod icon?

if yes, drag and drop ur songs into there

if no, ur ipod is not connected or the computer is not reading it.

Drag an drop into where?

Normal I just click File>Add File To Library, then pick a song, and right click Ryan's Ipod on the left hand pane and click sync. It should update, but it doesn't. Very annoying, I need to get this fixed, otherwise I can't add anymore songs, ever.

I thought about restoring it, but what if I do that and still can't get songs on. Them I'm stuck with an empty ipod.
