The Voss Tree
The Clark Tree
The Pilum Tree
The Frag Nade and the 2 Sprint Unlocks
The SLSB.

What next? I'm not really sure, I'm thinking of getting the last 2 ability unlocks, but I'm not sure.

Hell yes - the motion mines were about my 14th unlock and wish to god I had grabbed them earlier. Makes setting up anti-vehicle defence way easier and turns the Engo into a useful kit for me. (particularly when paired with EMP mines).

As a side note - pays to leave the top unlock off; you can get it via field upgrades anyway - may as well open up more kit options with the permanent unlocks.

Agreed Engineer class best in game, go how Spawn says to, but don't bother unlocking the anti-air, then go up the other side to the Pilum.

Then you will become a vehicle killing machine, plus mega points for repairing titan guns.

i've gone the way i said..

although i'm not unlocking any weapons.. rather leaving them for field unlocks..

Thats what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure. I don't really like any of the Other assault tree except the Baur, and I personally think the other support tree is worthless. A EMP nade that is terribly situational, a netbat that accomplishes nothing because camo is useless, and a sentry gun that can't hit anything.

Au contraire,

The EMP grenades are REALLY useful.. You wanna escape that battlewalker? throw down an ammo crate.. then spam EMP nades at it.. guaranteed that thing wont move until you stop throwing EMP's

The NetBat Camo Index is useful in titans. plain and simple. Saved my ass from being knifed a few times before i was reset.

The sentry drones annoy the shit outta me.. especially in titans.. and i mean as a defender.. i cant stand when a teammate throws one down.. i usually try to destroy it or pick it up.. they create more noise than bullets and deter the enemy from running into my lovely RDX traps

In my experiences, the EMP nade seems to make the driver want to get out .. allow you to kill or steal .. useful... but "situational" is a correct way of putting it. To me the sentry gun is no more than an alarm or a detector ... when you go to unlock support ... go for the Clark.

DOH my bad didn't read it right.

Still Engineer armed with Motion mines, defuser and the Pilum is the best in game.

Good idea on the not unlocking weapons, haven't done that myself, but if I did I would still have the Pilum unlocked, I wouldn't want to wait for the field upgrade before I start wasting tank users.

Frag nade and 2 sprints have served me the best out of any tree and I have both Assault trees. Even with stock weapons, if you have the sprint it can get you out of or into the fight faster. And the nades, well they speak for themselves. *BOOOM* Stingray24 [killed] 3 unnamed enemies

I would say get those engy unlocks and the max clip unlock. Then either go for the AR rockets or the Lambert Carbine.

well i would suggest the the other Engy tree just don't unlock the AA missile,( can you use the AA missiles to kill land Armour too?)... the roller mines are nasty... or if you play Assault allot unlock the Baur tree, cause the rockets are awesome...

BTW i have unlocked all my available guns because i randomly get disconnected every now and then, so the field upgrades aren't always a possibility. i have both the recon trees unlocked, both the Assault trees unlocked, the Pilum tree unlocked and the grenades + both sprint unlocks... i am planing on unlocking the Engy AA tree next, then the Clark tree...

The sentry gun is far from useless. It is far better than APM mines for covering your a$$, especially in the upper gallery in the Titan. The detection beep (before it starts firing) or the weapon fire is great for spotting people sneaking up behind and even if someone gets past the sentry they generally make so much noise you have plenty of time to turn and prepare a nasty suprise....

Baur tree, by far.

Herzog Shotgun is rubbish.
The Netbat infantry tells you the kit of your enemy - this is a lifesaver. You can duck behind cover and then move your mouse of the red diamond. If its a support, you know not to run out, but chuck a grenade isntead. If its a sniper, you can run and blast him.
The AR Rocket launcher is one of the best unlocks in the game - it turns the assault into a sniper. It can outrange anything except snipers with zoom (and you can hit those). Supports will no longer be a problem.
The Baur is the most powerful assault rifle, and kills very quickly up close. SIngle shot at range also works very well. Medium range, it can suffer slightly, but the new accuracy in 1.05 fixed that quite well.
