Just another demographics poll from me. Meh.
So, down to the scoring;
0.0 if you don't know anything about the language.
0.0 if you can count from 1-10 and say 'bathroom', 'turn left', other tourist survival phrases, and 'your mother is a whore'.
0.0 if you can sing a couple of songs in that language.
0.5 if you have been learning the language for at least 3 years, speaking and literacy.
0.5 if you are able to speak fluently, but are illiterate.
0.5 if you are literate, but can't speak it.
1.0 if you are a native speaker and literate.
1.0 if you can speak, read and write a language fluently, enough to have conversations with a native speaker.
1.5 you teach the language, and have a license to do so.
Add up your total and vote. Only choose one number for one language; If you are a native English speaker it's only 1, not 1.0+0.5.
*Note; I do consider different dialects of Mandarin Chinese to be different languages; however the same rules apply; 0.5 if you can speak Hokien but can't write it. But you can't write Hokien, so it's only .5 of a language if you are fluent. Yeah.
