I just bought a sealed US copy of BF2142 and where the CD key is suppose to be on the back of the manual,
it is blank.

I am waiting to hear back from EA

Has this happened to anyone else.

sounds strangely familiar. on my copy of c&c generals zero hour the wrong code was printed, called ea and they gave me a new code. weird

I'm sure EA will help you out. Bummer that happened. You could return it to the store based on that. No key, no install. They can't argue with that.

I'm sure EA will help you out. Bummer that happened. You could return it to the store based on that. No key, no install. They can't argue with that.

Yep. I had that with an other game. Just return it to the store, show it to them, they'll give you a new copy.

Its actually a print error... has nothing to do with the company that produces the game but the company they exported the print job to. I've seen this before when I worked in a print-shop. Usually they get caught by inspection but some get through, strangly enough this usually happens if there was a jam and they didn't clear the machine properly thus one gets through that stage without having anything printed on it.

Most stores when showed this will just give you a new copy, also EA should also give you a new one if you call them.

play a SoE (Sony online Entertainment) game and THEN u will never be surprised again of any mistake.
