I have:
512 PC3200 400
1024 PC3200 400
512 PC2700 333
=2048 mb

Would i be better off running the 1024 + 512 PC3200 alone
or
Run it altogether.

Because what i heard was that if your running a lower mhz like 333 the other ones will run at that speed too.
so would i be better with the  1536 mb PC3200 400 or 2048 mb PC3200 400 and PC2700 333 mix.

with those 3 sticks, you will be running at 333mhz,

still, 2gb at 333 can be a bit better than 1.5 gb at 400

If you really want to get it going, get all of them at the same speed. 400 or higher.

Since its only $60 odd, getting the faster 512 stick could be a worthwhile thing for you.  Theres no blistering improvement, but an improvement none the less.  I agree with jcurts though, the config of 2gb at 333, is better than the 1.5 at 400.  $60 will get you a 2gb at 400 8-) (NO I DONT WORK FOR THEM )  lol.

i had 2 gigs of pc3200 ocz   and 1 gig of pc 3200 generic.... and after a lil while of using all 3 gigs.. i found that using only the 2 gigs of ocz was not only as fast if not faster... but it was more stable.

well i just bought the 1024 so i can't get anymore right now.  so i will just keep the 2 gigs in.

Oh and you can get Ultra 1024 mb PC3200 400 at tigerdirect for $150 with two $50 dollar rebates bringing it down to $50+ ship
