Park an APC right next to your Titan. Put a UAV (I was commander at the time) or PDS on the Titan. Then go into position 3, and pod up. You'll sail miles above the Titan, and can land onto choppers, killing everyone inside. You'll get Titan defend points for each kill too.

Transport choppers go down with one hit, gunship choppers are much harder (as the flat region on the top is tiny - otherwise you just damage it and ricochet off)

I personally find the most fun way to defend the titan is using the APM.

god i love spamming those little things. especially good when a squad runs into a hallway and they get blown back out again.

but yes, i have done this pod thing. i like nailing vehicles, but hitting a single troop is also fun.

i haven't killed too many people using this tactic... but when i did, it was hilarious. sometimes i'll rig the enemy transport with RDX, so when some people spawn on it... BOOM!

I still think RDX and mines are the best Titan defense measures. Spawn on the titan, pod yourself up onto the back side, drop down a vent hole, have a squadmate drop a pack of supplies with you, drop a mine facing the hole where it can't be seen from above, and throw one pack of RDX on the wall then squat behind the corner of the hallway. Mine takes out the first guy or two who drops down and the RDX takes care of the guys who drop down after them. Quickly toss another mine, RDX, and repeat. The only way to be taken out doing this is if someone catches on and tries to lob a nade up there from below, but you'll hear them yelling nade everytime, giving you a chance to move around the wall to avoid the blast.

Extremely effective as no matter how many of the same guys you kill, the same ones will still keep dropping down there, thinking that you've ran out of ammo and moved on. I've racked in over 40-50 kills many times doing this.

i used to pod onto the aircraft... but not any more. why destroy the enemies spawn points? just let them keep spawning so you can get a shitload of kills and points. i always let them keep their APCs neer, aircraft parked on the titan, and also their squad beacons on. this makes it even more fun

I do the same thing with motion mines. Crawl underneath and lay a bunch of soccer balls under the belly. Then run off and giggle.

Yeah, I tend to enjoy podding on transports, gunships, walkers, tanks... it's just really funny.
For titan defense however, I also walk the path of APM and RDX, yet I don't camp with RDX.

You're right, this does work but not exactly challenging.  EA did a piss poor job implementing the Titan concept if these types of strategies are what it takes to get points.  IMO, Titan Mode could be fun if no explosives (including grenades) or sentry guns could be used inside of the Titan.  Let people engage in massive firefights...would be much more fun, challenging and would greatly reduce the lag.

Superfly, you only gonna play titan-mode a lot more when the titan looks like gibraltar.

I've done this with enemy APC 's underneath my titan. RDX the APC, and wait until it disappears from the map. BOOM! It's a lot of fun really.

EDIT: For attacking Titans I also use the RDX to clear out the APM and RDX spam at the entrance of the core.  Then in go the troops to take the core.
