I think it looks quite nice. I don't know anything about AG Neuvo though. No experience with any of their monitors.Techworld wrote:

Looks bloody good to me, talk to Bert about widescreening, he'll know more about it than I do as I don't have a widescreen monitor so I'm just going from educated guess work really. I'd imagine what he said was correct and I can give you the command lines for forcing BF2 to get in the correct resolution, I've just seen so many people whining about their picture being distorted when theyve set the res right I figured it was another BF2 fuck up to add to the list.
That's how I do it.
The HUD looks a little odd though, but who cares about that. If you do a search you can probably find some screenies.
Me either, hence I was a bit hesitant about it but I'd take a risk with that, 3 year warranty so you're pretty well covered and that chaps review from ebuyer looked like he wrote with an erect penis so he was happyBertster7 wrote:

Im running a 6800gs btw, does resolution make any difference to the quality of graphics i can have on bf2? ... if its bigger would it put more strain on the gpu and make me have to lower the settings?
So... you really think that win one is the best?

Tiny bit more strain, nothing your card can't handle.
I'd happily fork out the cash for that monitor if I didn't already have one I was happy with so yeah I'd go for it if I were you.

Wish my parents would spend more than 200$ on me for Christmas like every other family does for their kids.

"Famous Brand" could it be more ambiguous? famous for what? Who are they? If theyre so famous why not tell us? looks like they got a random array for refubed TFTs and are selling them off cheapo.
It's affordable for me. You have to admit that it's better than a 15.6" CRT monitor, lol.TheEternalPessimist wrote:

You're quite right it's not DVI It's not a difference to you now, but newer graphics cards are phasing the old RGB connector out slowly, but you can get adapters for that (you probabaly got one or two with your 6800).Techworld wrote:

yes, i use one of those now
Well you'll be happy with virtually anything you buy then.
What does DVI do so differently from VGA? What are the benefits as well?
DVI is digital, you know digital is always better
fuck them both

30" of own

You heard right, bf2 simply does not support widescreen atall, there are ways to get a widescreen display on it, although all that does is stetch the image across the screen, so everything looks fat.Techworld wrote:
Im also reading of some problems running bf2 with widescreen... can you confirm how to make it work and does the picture look stretched?
Martyn
No. I'm running it in widescreen and it does work fine. I play it in 1680x1050 all the time, it looks fine, not fat. It's not identical, but it's not just stretched across the screen. That is what happens if you set the resolution through the in game menu as no widescreen resolutions are listed. If you force the right resolution you don't get that problem.Bell wrote:
