I'm going to start this post the same way I'll most likely be starting all my posts, "I did search & didn't find what I was looking for". kthx

I have 2 questions about accuracy & how they show up in stats. Question #1 is with the shotgun. I realize this would be such a tiny difference that it really shouldn't effect anything either way but when you shoot a round with a shotgun your firing 8 pellets with each shot right? Does each pellet count as a bullet or do you only have to connect with a single pellet to count as a hit? So if I fired a shotgun at someone & only connected with one pellet would the other 7 show up as misses in my stats? I know thats probably a dumb question & I really don't care about my stats all that much (plus shotgunning nubs is waaaay too fun to quit because of an accuracy stat) but I'm just curious.

Question #2 Again with the accuracy stat. If I'm shooting someone with an automatic/semi-auto & I kill them but keep firing for a second afterward still hitting their body as it's falling do those shots count as hits or misses? Also again this is a bit of a dumb question & I do care about my stats but not that much. I really just curious as to how things work. Thanks for taking to the time to read this if you do.

I don't think so, no. I think if you connect with any of the shot it counts as a hit.

My stats. Shotgun 1868 hits, 2298 kills, explain that.
And while your at it explain. Knife 717 hits, 723 kills.

As far as I'm aware every bullet that does damage is a hit, everyone one that doesn't is a miss(and you can't dmg and dead guy:P). for the shotgun thing I have no idea, but my accuracy seems awfully low compared to most of my other guns.

Anytime you do damage, it counts as a hit. So if you shoot a DPV driving by that counts as a hit. One shotgun pellet or 10 shotgun pellets counts as a single hit. Shooting dead bodies doesn't count as a hit.

Does it have anything to do with commanding?  I know you rack up time with the weapon you have out while commanding.  Do you also rack up kills?  Like when you drop arty on someone?

Nope. You will get credited with the kill(to combat score) but it wont go to the specific (infantry)weapon. Arty kills though are credited to vehicles you may be in.

Yeah, i was wondering 'bouts that as well, my shotgun accuracy is remarkably low. Dang, its dragging down my 33.29% accuracy, lol >_<

I think the Knife thing has to do with the hit registry problems and lag where you stab the guy and then it takes a second for him to die.

I have 145 knife hits and 148 knife kills.  Like the server changes its mind and says "Oh! You really did kill him." but never adjusts the miss to a hit.

lol - I've had it so many times, that I knifed a guy (leaping over his pkm to where he's proned), stab him in the face, and die killing him. First it doesn't seem to register, but then, as I die, it seems to think otherwise. ^^
On-Topic: I think that they count as single pellets, because I know that I don't suck that much at aiming (I have 8% on the shotgun)
