i have been hearing rumours of karkand coming out for 2142 ever since just before the first patch came out so does anyone know when and if this map is going to be released?.

There already is a map that's similar to Karkand in 2142. It's called Camp Gilbratar...

i hate camp...i love cerbere, belgrade, and sidi (titan only)...i have yet to try others...any good maps suggestions?
Yes, They will be coming out with a Battlefield 2142 Karkand:
-1 Walker for EU, and 1 walker for PAC
-2 APC's for EU, and 2 for PAC
-You will ONLY be able to get this in a 64 player server! IT WILL NOT BE RANKED!

I think most people hate Karkand on Gibraltar, just because other people say it sucks and it's for noobs only. They just join the bandwagon to look cool.

- Suez Canal, because it's possible to pod to all silos from a well placed titan, which makes the game incredibly fast paced and exciting;
- Minsk, it has some really beautiful scenery with those skyscrapers and stuff, plus the titan podding goes for that map also
For Conquest maps:
- Stay away from everything that's also available as titan map. Those maps are just like those from BF2, they're a pain in the arse if you don't have a vehicle and you're mostly easy prey if you didn't get anything armored.
- good maps are those you mentioned, plus "Fall of Berlin" with less than 50 players (which makes Gibraltar more diverse and interesting, too),
- "Tunis Harbor" is not bad either, however I also suggest trying to find a smaller server, otherwise you'll just drown in a rain of frag grenades or keep running into sentry drones and APMs.
Unlike BF2 where the 64-player-maps were just the ultimate fun, the maps in 2142 seem to be a lot more entertaining and challenging with 30 to 48 players.
