I've searched but could not find a clear definition ...

Are the titan guns useless in getting Repair Excellence badge? I noticed that they yield points (up to 16) but lack the "you got a repair point" message).

I need 10 repairs and this did not seem to it (the chairs were empty, guns completely destroyed).

BFHQ reports I have 16/10 hours on repair tool (which I'm assuming is the same thing as the Engineer hours).

Any clarity would be "much" appreciated.

repair tool hours and engineer hours are different. the tool hours are much like the medic and ammo hours.

before the patch, you could get 8 repair points from the guns. although while repairing it wouldnt really tell you you were getting those points. so to get silver you'd have to get 8 from the guns and then another 2 from the map somewhere. after the patch, i'm not sure, i haven't bothered with that yet (been working on my other silver combat badges). if nothing has changed, then you should be able to do it like that.

Got mine repairing the Titan guns, but they had someone sat in them and every so often up would pop a repair point.

Titan guns worked ... some were occupied, some were not ... I don't think you can it on just all empty titan guns ... but maybe when I tried it before that time stat had not caught up.
