Can anyone tell me how I can force bf2 to run on 16xAA?

Thanks

I don't think BF2 will use x16 AA. But if you must, then go into your graphics card's control panel and look for the graphics quality settings or something like that. Look for the Anti-aliasing, and choose "16x" or whatever the highest your card can go, and choose "Override application settings".

To be honest, BF2 looks fine with 4x AA and everything high. I don't see the reason to crank up the AA any more.

I dont think you can set Ultra-High anymore since patch 1.3/1.4 (?)

Just check BF2 - Tweakguides for what settings run best on your system. Usually running everything on High doesnt look that much better than medium. The most noticeble difference is between Low and Medium.

Hurricane gave you the solution for this.

@ Jemme101: He was talking about the Anti-Aliasing, ingame you can only set it to 4x, but with the Control Panel of your graphic card you can use higher values.

Do you really need it?
I mean really, 6x AA is good enough. Especially at high resolutions you wont notice a difference between 16 & 6.

You would need a pretty good PC to run it at a decent frame rate if you could.....

i have
x2 7900 GS's SLi
2 Gb ram
AMD 3200 (meh)

and some other less important shit and i can hardly full AA and everything on high.

If you have a card that can run 16X might as well use it lol

The AA goes hand in hand with your other settings, most notably the Text Filtering I think. At least that was what I read. Btw the AA was none , 2x , 4x and 8x in BF2?

You can allways force the AA but you have to change something in your config. Its all in that guide. I dont tanper with that stuff. My rig runs smooth and the game looks good enough with medium/high settings and 4x AA.
