I do have one of those in my PC. Since I'm not going for Vista anytime soon, and I don't want to spend

A 7600 GS is 120 dollars? Wtf I am soon upgrading and am takin an 7600GT for 130 euro's. But I don't know how much you can spend but I would definatly get atleast (That just me though) Get atleast 1 GT and if I could affort it a second one.. BTW I'm getting the same CPU as you! w00t! And also a SLi mobo but I cant afford the second GPU...

I got a Asus M2N32 SLI deluxe (wireless edition)...and the  7600 GT is $189.00

If you can afford to buy 2 7600 GT's than I would go for the GT's but I think that 2 GS cards will do just fine aswell.. its still 2 cards, but maybe some tech d00d will come along this tread and help you out..
Anyway I think a second card will do fine.

I would buy a 7950GT 512MB before I bought 2 7600GS's or 'GT's.

just get one 7600GT untill u get a DX10 card! Doses the 7950 GT have half of the power of an 7950GX2
