I'm one of thoes guys that aren't a point grabbing player. I sit in unranked/non-started ranked games for many hours. It's amazing what kind of things you find when you aren't trying to get 200 points/60 kills in a half hour. Killer sniping/AT spots, sneeky ways into bases, and glitches galore.
Now last night I was driving around in my Abrams on my clan's ranked server waiting for more members to join. I have done all kinds of things, destroy Mec's Chopper from the TV station on sharki, go supply surfing down a hill, and many more pointless, but interesting studies.
Anyway, I wondered what would happen if i parked my abrams ontop of one of my artillary guns and fired them off. Well, after many attempts, I couldn't get the tank to stay on it when it wasn't deployed. So I shot the arty off and was about to drive off, when I inadverdantly backed my abrams into the deployed arty gun. Much to my suprise, the tank flew up into the air!
Now, if you have played armor as much as I have, you'd probably noticed a few times that the Abrams has many bugs in it. The Mec/Japanesse Armor I've noticed are good, but geeze. Drive the Abrams over a bench at the hotel of Kark or Jalaly and you'd be lucky if you don't explode. But now that I've found this glitch, I've really had some fun! Driving into either team's deployed artillary strike will launch your Abrams at least as high as the arty gun. Depending on which way you do it, you might only bounce about horribly but eventually you'll be shot into the air.
After finding this, I got one of my Clanmates in and he couldn't believe it. He jumped ontop of my tank and got launched into the air with me. We were launched so high that he was able to deploy his parachute before he hit the ground.
I've also found that it is possible to destroy enemy's arty with this tactic. I've been able to destroy it three times without destroying my tank. Now rest assured, this bouncing wildly around does dammage your armor horribly, but as an engineer, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem racking up a few repair points while you go and destroy the enemy's arty. (no I've never done this, but I'm just saying its possible)
So the next time you don't feel like being a point grabbing Medic on Kark (i know, that's a rarity these days), jump into an unranked server or empty one. You'll never know what great things you could find. Like not parking the abrams ontop of a destroyed tow spawn - just as deadly as a c4 attack.
