Yes, this only to us freaks of nature that bought the game off EA link.
I'm always reinstalling XP and Vista therefore I'm always re-installing EA Link and I was getting pissed off with having to download the game every single time.

So it's actually pretty simple. You need to copy 2 files/folders, they are located in C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/EA Link/Cache/{random_numbers/letters}. First you need to make a folder in a secure location that stays in tact if you would ever have to install, mine is my alternate hard drive for My Documents so I just made a "BF2142" folder in here. You need to copy the BF2142_na folder and eagamesbf2142_online_contentbf2142.eam file.
Mmmm so, EA Link should think you have it now and you just need to click the install button in EA Link or run Setup.exe from the BF2142_na folder to begin installing. I hope this helps someone or another somewhere along the line.
