As for the APM comments above, just drop down as carefully as you can and dont move. If you see an APM then just crouch and walk over it, it dosn't go off. Course if you're a prick like me they'll be sitting there with an RDX pack ready for the clever ones
EDIT: Trigg damnit use my sig, I spent a whole bloomin 5 mins doing that for you!
Interesting, I didn't know that. Can you walk or crawl past APMs in general? For example, several APMs that have been setup in the reactor room?
Sure.. APMs only go off if someone walks past them at a certain speed..
As long as your moving while crouched, you're not going fast enough to set them off..
Even if there'd be 20 APMs, none of them will go off as long as you're moving crouched..
And it is indeed actually really easy to avoid getting blown up by APMs as long as you can see them, or at places where you'd expect APMs.. But at the vents, when the APM is well placed, it WILL go off as soon as you drop into the vent.. So in that case,.. well you're actually f*cked..
And since I've been playing Recon almost all of my 60hours, I'm pretty sure that I know what I'm talking about..
I've seen it all, and with that I also mean that I know that the only times you can get passed a good Recon (with a support by his side to resupply him) is when you work in Squads..
All you need is 3 persons sticking together.. 1 Assault (medic) 1 Support and 1 Recon..
First the Recon drops into the vent, gets blown up by C4 or APM, after that the Support jumps in and immediatly followed by an Assault (medic).. The Support covers the Medic (since the Enemy Recon will probably come back to place another RDX/APM) while he's reviving the Recon..
After that you let YOUR Recon place APM(s) to cover your back, since the Enemy Recon you've killed will probably come back to try and kill you all (most of the time he'll be hoping that he will be able to Knife you)..
