I was just playing in a server where there were 8 or more sentry guns in one hallway. We blew console 2 before they could defend, but when it came time to blow console 1 there were 8 sentry guns and 8 machine guns shooting at us. My friend was on the other team laughing it up over teamspeak because of all the lag that was going on because of it. There were about 18 guns firing nonstop down that hallway (depending on how many whores were grenade spamming). That's retarded, ridiculous, and proves that support kits are unbalanced.

yeah when people are spamming grenades and sentry guns like a mofo.... i stop wasting my time (and tickets)  and tell my team to abort the titan and just capture/defend the silos. That way, it brings those campers out of the hallway just momentarily.

Learn to work as a team. There's no defense that can't be broken if enough people (say 2 squads who are capable) work together. Sentry guns aren't fool proof either, 1 EMP grenade and all those sentry guns are out for long enough to storm the corridor, not to mention the enemy's HUDs getting scrambled. Only 1 thing needs to be done about sentry guns, and that's make them more susceptible to frag grenades. And if your enemy has that many people defending the titan, rape them with missile silos. I've seen so many matches lost because too many idiots camp on the titan for the duration after it's shields go down, in the meantime the opposition are pwning the ground pounders that remain and holding a minimum of 4 silos at all times.

Fly up there in an air transport and land (like you ought to), then hop in one of the guns and shoot 'em. Or bring some buddies along and have them sit in the guns and fire. Or just bring up the attack aircraft and have THEM shoot the campers. Or you could get out and do it yourself. You don't have to see somebody to throw a grenade at them. Or launch up there from an APC on the ground and land on the guy in your own pod.

God forbid the defending team would be SMART about keeping you off their titan. How inconsiderate.

As for the APM comments above, just drop down as carefully as you can and dont move. If you see an APM then just crouch and walk over it, it dosn't go off. Course if you're a prick like me they'll be sitting there with an RDX pack ready for the clever ones

EDIT: Trigg damnit use my sig, I spent a whole bloomin 5 mins doing that for you!
Interesting, I didn't know that.  Can you walk or crawl past APMs in general? For example, several APMs that have been setup in the reactor room?

Sure.. APMs only go off if someone walks past them at a certain speed..
As long as your moving while crouched, you're not going fast enough to set them off..
Even if there'd be 20 APMs, none of them will go off as long as you're moving crouched..
And it is indeed actually really easy to avoid getting blown up by APMs as long as you can see them, or at places where you'd expect APMs.. But at the vents, when the APM is well placed, it WILL go off as soon as you drop into the vent.. So in that case,.. well you're actually f*cked..

And since I've been playing Recon almost all of my 60hours, I'm pretty sure that I know what I'm talking about..
I've seen it all, and with that I also mean that I know that the only times you can get passed a good Recon (with a support by his side to resupply him) is when you work in Squads..

All you need is 3 persons sticking together.. 1 Assault (medic) 1 Support and 1 Recon..
First the Recon drops into the vent, gets blown up by C4 or APM, after that the Support jumps in and immediatly followed by an Assault (medic).. The Support covers the Medic (since the Enemy Recon will probably come back to place another RDX/APM) while he's reviving the Recon..
After that you let YOUR Recon place APM(s) to cover your back, since the Enemy Recon you've killed will probably come back to try and kill you all (most of the time he'll be hoping that he will be able to Knife you)..

Nah you can drop down without triggering them you just need to make sure you have no forward momentum when you drop (which 99.99% of people don't), sure sometimes they still go off but 7/10 times it'll not trigger if you're careful, just edge off inch by inch and you should fall straight enough to get past, doing it on a moving titan is a totally different matter, I don't think I've managed to get past an APM when the titans moving.

Another handy hint for shifting APMs, this is vastly easier. Throw a RDX pack down and detonate it, RDX destroys APMS and RDX packs. Poor fuck wont know what happened as you blaze in and tear his face off. I don't usually bother doing this one, it's easier yeah, but I want my RDX for other things so I use the sneaky sneaky method.

Defending a Titan is defending a Titan. Try landing up high and killing the defenders as you decend, or if your finding a lot of defenders near the Titan's AA guns, try landing on the lowest platforms, generally there are few/no defenders there and enough cover to make it a decent fight if they are there.

Personaly I like using the Titan's pods to pod ou ontio my Titan whe I'm defending and take out transport ships or gunships by landing on them. Awesome fun and can get some faily easy kills, (you just need to not care about where you land.)

One transport chopper with 3 people in it was camping and for some reason the AAturrets didn't bother to take them down, I meen they are on 24/7 on a server. So yeah the pods works great against them but you often die but if you have a medic around who can revive you its a good tactic

Just land on the lower section where they don't defend then.

I will always put up my gun turret and see if it can get rid of those pesky invaders.

I love to sit on the upper deck of the enemy titan and wait for em with a couple of clan mates wielding the Clark. It's like clay pigeon shooting, PULL!

ROFL!
Is the Clark really that good? Because all I seem to hear about it are good things..

how do you pod on the top of your titan?  Each time I've tried I get launched away (45 degree angle)from my titian and I am unable to control it to land on top.  I've tried entering the pod launcher backwards and still end up on the ground?

thanks

make sure you're facing the back end of the titan. as you go up turn your pod around and use WASD to position yourself on the titan.

and podding onto the enemy transport on the back of your titan is great fun when 2-3 people have just spawned inside of it.

Its really simple aim at the back of your titan as you enter those pod silos, then fire and you will be able to guide over there with your moving controls.

Second, those of you who can't understand how the pod can destroy a tank or walker, how much do you think those pods weight? and the speed they are coming down and the height they where launched from? So its like a HUGE rock landing on a tank from hundred meters or more

they'd have to be sturdy as hell for the soldier to survive. to be landing like that so abruptly would almost suggest that the soldier would break something on impact (inside the pod of course).

Oh I LOVE it when people do this on my titan. I just use my own titan's pods to hop up on to the top of my own titan and start killing people as they drop in. Claymores + Lambert Carbine make this lots of fun. Plus, titan defend pins are 20pts each (not to mention the 14 points from the kills). I had a 231 [career; 81 global] point round a few nights ago just from killing people that dropped onto a spawn beacon up there. Why would you NOT want the other team doing this???
