I am planning to upgrade my IE, so are there any bugs in it?
I Don't Know About Bugs In Ie7 But Instead Just Get Firefox Since They've Just Obviously Copied It.... It's Kinda Lame From Them, They Even Changed The Logo And .. Oh Hey It Look Just Like F.fox !

I hate it. I've been using it for about 2 months now and I absolutely hate it. It thinks that it's more important than anything else I'm doing. For example: Click a link on bf2s, click over to Outlook. 2 seconds later it brings IE7 back up in the middle of typing an email. Did I mention that I hate it?
Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

What I hate about IE7 is the toolbars. With every other browser its done smartly. One bar for File, Edit, View, Help, Pickle. One bar for Address (and search). One bar for tabs. But not in IE7. Nooooo. They got a blind dead monkey to design it.

It isnt too horribly bad. It is pretty identical to Firefox but its ok I guess. Some things on it suck balls though. I dont know if its a bug or not, but when your typing in an address, and usually the history bar comes up with what matches what youve typed so far, and highlights the matched address in the list - If you hit enter, thinking its going to take you to that site, you just tried to go to a half typed web address.
Example:
www.ya
Comes up with www.yahoo.com and highlights in the list - hit enter and you are being routed to
www.ya
not www.yahoo.com which it fools you into thinking
This obviously takes you no where.

Well look at it this way: it can't be worse in security terms than the previous version, whichever you happen to be running currently, so it'll be a big step up in terms of safety if you have to use IE for any site that's badly-written enough to require it.Ayumiz wrote:

don't switch to IE7 if you run programs that have not been updated. I use Quickbooks 2007 at home and work, and made the mistake of dl'ing IE7. For some reason Quickbooks is not compatable, so I couldn't use it at all. I had to delete IE7, uninstall Quickbooks, install Firefox, then reinstall.

Yes. That's another problem you'll find only with IE7. Because all the other browsers are just added software on your Windows system, there's no conflicts unless its in use. IE is always in use (basically), so if you update a core part of Windows (IE7), everything gets screwed around.

Mozilla Firefox ftw..then go to the Stickied thread Mozilla Firefox Tune-up and follow the instructions, Mozilla Loads pages faster, its more secure and detects phishing sites better than IE7...or so I read, but whatever..just got Firefox

I have IE7 and liked it better the FF 1.5. Now my primary browser at home is Opera 9.02, to me this is the best browser out there. Not only do you have tabs, but there are a ton of other features built into the browser without the need of Extentions. For example, it has a web mail application, like Outlook and Thunderbird, built right into it. It also is more W3C complient then either FF or IE. So, Opera FTW.
