Ranks matter and don't at the same time. Its finding a good middle thats healthy for you. I have people in my clan who have the brig gen ranks and that means they practice on pubs a lot. I have just the gold bar or second lut BEcause I took joy in getting and learning the new unlocks. After I finished I just played around and played with other games intill I joined my clan the =3Dx= clan, I love it and It a Hell lot funner owning people on the promod and vanilla with just the defaults. M16 ftw!

I'm only a corporal, and i consider myself a noob. That still doesn't mean i come last in the end. Usually i finish with about 25-28 points, and some higher-ranked people still come lower. Rank only tells experience, not skill or aiming abilities. Also, a great factor is luck. If you play on a Wake server and the Americans never land, your score will be significantly lower than usual.

you can be a excellent corporal, but when a group of high rankers decide to teamplay, u r screwed...

I give people with rank some credit, depending on what i am doing, say im flying or gunning in chopper if i see a person gunnery sgt get in or below i eather jump the hell out or kick them out. Why 9/10 out of 10 they do not even now how to fly and will just ram it into the ground or 2 they do not even know what a t.v. miss. is. As for flying planes i find a person say lt and above usually nows what they are doing and will be more productive than say a corp. So yeah i would say i think people with low ranks are normally newbs b/c 9/10 they get owned. And like a guy was saying above you get the high ranking people on one side and the low ranking people on the other like it usually ends up being and the high ranking team usually kicks the crap out of the low ranking people. Why- experiance thats all what rank boils down to, experianced shooters experianced flyers and experianced gunners. Which i know someone is going to say- well how are the low ranking people going to get good if you dont let them gun or fly. They can just not with me.
Also rank makes a huge diffs in IO because you say you have a squad leader that is a corp. and one that is a COR. 9/10 the higher ranking persons squad fills up while the other one has maybe one or 2 people join it.
