Underrated? i find it to be alot better than the linebacker now that i see how good it is. its double cannon is awesome, i love it. and i have even taken out a tank or two with it. (they were most likely nubs....)

anyway, the linebacker is great and all, but tungsuka wins for me.

what do you guys think?

I think that attack choper kicks out both Seriosly , mostly everybody in mobile AA try to attack choper in front . They fail .

edit : note - it is Tunguska , not Tungsuka . There is such river in Siberia ...

for me, linebacker

the guns are not so usefull against air targets, most of the time missiles will do the job.

The gun on the linebacker is better against ground targets and has a higher splash dammage. If you hadnt noticed, a skilled linebacker driver will always win against a skilled tunguska driver. The cannon on the linebacker is stronger against armor, and you dont have the round thing in your face so you can see where you are shooting at.

Linebacker wins outright.
Its cannon is simply awesome vs both infantry and choppers and does a lot of damage to tanks/APC's too.

The Tunguska, you would think would rock vs Infantry, but im not so sure. With only double cannons (The PLA's PGZ-95 has quads) and its annoying dome at the front makes it very hard to see at close range, i.e. Ghost Town. You dont get that problem with the Linebacker and the backers turret is mounted lower down, so you can also shoot at Infantry that are that bit closer to you.
The PGZ also has the same problem, and even though it has quad cannons - they are so weak its beyond belief. They just dont even seem to do any damage.

At the end of the day, when shooting at planes / choppers, it doesnt matter to me which mobile AA I use. But for playing against Infantry, the Linebacker is by far the most useful and better suited.
My AA time and kdr says so

Linebacker for me, but as Studs said, bullets everywhere is fun, really gives you the feeling of throwing some serious lead at the enemy. I love repairing one as engineer, the bullets casings are bouncing off the ground like they were being poured from a dumptruck.

Well don't forget all the Mobile AA shells has a shock effect on the infantries, which makes their vision blurr etc, with high firing rate it has a huge psychological impact on the them.

the only use of AA in armor vs. armor is to back up friendly tanks and annoy the fuck out of enemy armor as they can't see, their fps drops to 2 and makes BF2 crash.

Linebacker is great against infantry and armor - almost APC like.
against air targets any does me so i prefer the Linebacker because its better.

Linebacker all the way, for all the reasons stated above plus some:

Linebacker is faster and turns on the move, like an APC, whereas the Tungaska slows to a crawl if you try to make quick turns,

Linebacker has more torque and will climb hills that tanks cant climb(unless they know how to drive).

Faster missile reload- I time it at 3.5 seconds, a full 1.5 second sooner than the 'gaska.

Allthough it's capability to down a blackhawk is on par with it's competitors, it takes down the guppy in half the time.

Ya see, I hate hate hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehate being bombed.. it's loud, degrading, and goddamit.. I just traveled 2.5 minutes across the map..grrrrr

So I learned to drive AA..have and hold over 100 hours and a 6:1 ratio with it, and got the expert badge before the requirements dropped.
I did it almost exclusively in a linebacker.
Beware the mother effer that flies over me, AA is an art and a science, and I have a masters degree.
