I use snow blades. Lovely little things, handle just like skates. I have my season's pass up at Cypress Mountain. Vancouver has tremendous skiing. I was up there last Saturday, and it was the best day I've seen in a while. The weather, the snow, etcetera.

I have a great natural talent for it, as I began doing black diamonds on my second trip up to the mountain, but I still love to do green runs. No challenge, but great speed and a lot of fun. Of course, I can't complain about anyone on those runs, as they are beginners. But even on blue runs, I have a lot of trouble with snowboarders. Incredibly slow and prone to sitting down directly in the middle of the slope, they did provide a challenge to avoiding them, but also created problems. So, to solve the snowboarder problem, I just sprayed them with as much powder as possible while passing the prone snowboarders. They couldn't catch me if they became incensed. But, there were just an incredible amount of them. Those of us using skis or snow blades were fewer but of greater quality.

I lack the physical prowess required to keep myself from coming into contact with the powder.

So I ride sleds.

I wear a size 13 boot. I need the wide frame.

And the pair of Vans I had sucked ass. The Forums were the first pair of decent boots I ever got to fit me right. (I'm kinda flat footed)

I can safely say that snowboarding is for people who don't want to take huge risks, anything that can be done on a snowboard can be done on skis and requires 2x more ski and effort. Most people choose snowboarding because they think the tricks look cool, tricks on skis look far cooler, it also actually hurts if you bail, which rarely happens but atleast im not pussying out.

However snowboarding is still fun, just not as good when you get to my ability at skiing.
Tricks aint everything. Speed is a fun thrill as well. Topping over 50mph on a snowboard on a boardercross course is a hell of a rush, and I was lasered btw.

And if you think snowboarding is easy, try keeping up with the crowd on a double BD with moguls. It ain't easy.

Tricks are for kids. ... Speed is where it's at
Either way skis win, you go FAR faster on skis than on a snowboard. Im into speed more than tricks but I also am learning tricks on skis and they are far harder to master than when I learnt them on a snowboard.

That's where your wrong.  I could put a nice base coat of swix wax on my board and zoom past you, but then again swix is damn expensive

Ok... Skis are faster, take a pair or racing skis, wax them, take a racing snowboard, wax it. Race... Skis will win by FAR. On a snowboard you are completely un-airodynamic.

I snowboard... I chose the fuck skiers option. Sometimes I just have to bail cause I see a group of skiiers just barely crawling along on a flat-ish slope that snowboarders neeed to keep speed on, and they just go slow as hell. It sucks cause I have to take the damn thing off and walk just to get to next slope... stupid poles. But I'd like to try skiing someday.

yes. DUH.
which retard said that snowboarding is faster than skis.
comparing snowboard's speed vs. ski speed is like interracial marriage during the civil war, i'd lynch you for it.

The mountain i board at has a run like this. On a board you have to come off the lift and just lean forward, take a certain line and you will make it to the slope, but skiers are always on that line talking about the run. Thats what the lift is for assholes!!!!!

TWIN TIPS (not to be confused with gay snowblades)
Like normal skis but have a concave on both ends and have more carve. Can go off jumps backwards for example. Also wont get stuck on rails

This year hopefullly going to learn a 720 at my local skil hill. TRYVANN

I personally hate noob snowboaders. The only thing they contribute to the snowboarding community is being a snow plough. Fucker always rub away the good snow.
