Chopper hitboxes

This is starting to piss me off now. It happens more on the battlefield.no server i have found, look at this clear hit (IMO) on an enemy chopper. (the first tv i mean)

Where am i going wrong, where is the fucking hitbox then??!

The second one missed but hit and the first one hit and missed :S

Some of those were very unconclusive imo, some of his tv's were ahead of the targets.

Seriously, I fly choppers a lot now and and EVERY NIGHT my gunner gets a TV kill on another chopper that I'm sure he missed **BEHIND** the opponent. I totally believe it.

Thats because the hitbox usually lags behind the heli, or it goes in front of it, go with the best chances and aim behind it.

I'm as confused as you. You hit him in the tail, which is what they recommend, even with this whole "trailing hitboxes" thing. In the second shot, you got the kill you didn't deserve haha. It all evens out, but it's screwy.

Ive flown so many TV's literally straight through chopper cockpits and its not killed it.
Ive flown them through the damn "gap" in the blackhawks, the lot.
Earlier, I missed a scout heli on harvest by putting a missile right through it. Reloaded, fired and killed it by hitting about 10m off to its side....

Only if a chopper is hovering still, can I aim straight at it and kill it, and thats only from above or on the side.
Otherwise, im starting to learn (and definitly realise now after watching that video) to aim off to the side somewhere and itll kill the chopper.
Also, it varies depending on your ping and I find I have to aim differently for 40 ping than I do at 70....

Today on warlord, I ran to the top on the hotel, where a enemy was, I had head shot him with the sniper powder came out and then ran and knifed him and powder came and finally i knifed him and killed him just to be tked, by a guy on my team with a tube.

honestly im not sure where that first shot should have been... i probably would have missed it too.

my guess would be slightly higher? because they were at a slight angle declining possibly, but thats just one of those shots your gonna miss once every blue moon. that or more near the tail? tough shott.

A lot of times no a days when I get a pilot that doesnt crash into trees I noticed that 60% of hits go trough the chopper. Very annoying to see the missile be staring right at a helmet of a sob and yet it just flies trough without a hit.
