BF2S Forums SF Crashes Right when I try to get on a server.

ive done that. twice. still nothing.

Try to update your video-driver... This was the first thing I´ve done... before I heard about patching afterwards.

Are you booking up SF or Vanilla BF2?

I had this problem, and if I went into SF, I could play on Singleplayer, and "create local" fine. When I tried to
join a server, it crashed to desktop. Hard drive light would keep flashing. If left for long enough, it would end
all tasks relating to BF". If i booted up BF2 normal, I could jion servers, both for BF2 and SF. After playing some games (SF and Vanilla) through BF2, I can now play through SF as well.

What happens on mine is, say have BF2:SF running, and task manager. Both are in the bar at the bottom. SF is furthest to the left, cos it waqs open first. Join server, screen goes black, then to desktop, and new BF2 bar comes up, but to the right of taskmanager.

If you cant get it to join servers through SF, Use the SF shortcut for singleplayer, and BF2 shortcut for multiplayer.

Edit*** After re-reading your posts, this may not be the same prob, but I will leave the post here.

Hope you get it sorted, it is great fun, even though my graphics sort of look like Duplo. (Bloody great big lego blocks, for those that don't know!!!)

i had the same problem, all ya need to do is close down all other programs in the backround that you dont need but most importantly is your anti-virus, i did that and now my BF runs fine.
