Huxley intrigued me when I heard about it a long ways back. Unique as those kind of games go.  Looks like the first MMMORG thats a FPS.

WoW For the fucking lose. MMORPGs should be hardcore and require effort, not watered down for the middle school kiddies.

city of heroes / city of villains are both good.
final fantasy xi used to be good, it's a little too hard to get started now.
dark age of camelot is old but has good PvP.
if you really want a free one, anarchy online is not too bad.
auto assault is fun, and very different - you build cars with flamethrowers on them, instead of wizards and dragons.

MMORPGs can definitely be fun, if you get over yourself and stop caring about 'they're for geeks.' all videogames are for geeks, it's really not much of a valid concern if you've spent 500+ hours on bf2.
