Just theft.  Possibly grand theft if more than $1000 is on the card.  Haha.

dont think you would get very far without the PIN number

unless you used intended it for internet shooping as they dont ask for a PIN the card is useless

still nice scam

Mmm okay that went pretty fuckin' awesome...

Not a cred card though, I was thinking the same thing about PIN, didn't think of Internet purchases but still they track stolen card info down anyway.

Instead of doing the whole outside cred card thing, we just picked up the bills and bused (sp?) the table. We did it twice, got off almost 800 baht (around 23 bucks - doesn't sound like much, but in bangkok that's enough for a full night out + breakfast).

Last time I checked you didn't need a PIN for a credit card, only a signature which people hardly ever check so it doesn't have to be that accurate.

You're living in the past mate, need a PIN anywhere you use your card now (in the UK anyway).

And credit card companies companies will have a record of this transaction.. so will then get in touch with the site and either trace the IP of the thief or get a mailing address. Either way some men in uniform turn up with some shiny silver bracelets.

Netcafe's ftw. Use fake email's, ship the product to somewhere else. Better yet, get the person you hate in trouble and ship it to their house

Really? In Australia for Credit you only need a signature, for EFTPOS you need a PIN.

Considering how VISA and MasterCard have I think 24/7 Theft Reporting, if you notice your card is gone a quick 5 minute call to your card company will block it. This happens automatically when you're out of country too. When I was in France, at this Gap store my dad's card got charged 3 times in the span of about 3 seconds for 50 bucks. This set off a trigger at MasterCard and they blocked the card until we called and told them what happened.

It's a pain in the ass, but honestly nothing too life-ruining.
