in 711 it was conquered by the moorish (basically Arabs), in 1462 they lost control and it became "Spanish". 1704 (its been in British control longer than it has been in Spanish) the brits conquered it and it has been british ever since. the Spanish are however still determined to get it back, even though they agreed to accept gib as British (it was Britains condition for spains entry into the EU). there were even several conflicts in recent years, where they closed the border completely. even now its difficult getting over and will always take at least an hour but anything up to 6h is very possible. anyhow, even though the spanish are very determined, they will not be able to take it back unless they invade and kill all gibraltarians; they are some of the most patriotic people i have ever met (and i'm of them). also this isnt really astounding as gib has a booming economy and the part of spain around it is a complete shit hole. recently they voted on this matter and 98.97% were against a spanish involvement.

EDIT: also i've seen great stuff while i was there, including all 3 british aircraft-carryers parked 100m away from our flat and spanish helis dropping concrete blocks at smugglers

Camp Gibraltar for mine, vehicles have little impact on rounds, and there are many different avenues to assualt flags.
Cerebre but not on the poll so Belgrade.
Im starting to like Conquest, Shuia and Suez more and more.
Camp Gerbil, followed by Cerebre Landing, Followed by Tuna Harbor.

I don't like Gibraltar because, on the largest map, it's nigh on impossible to get off the beach.

shuhia taiba (sp?). i always have the most fun at that map. titan mode there is especially fun.

Gibralter is my favorite. Sad to say though I usually only play it and Cerbere. Both of those maps are really fun though, I enjoy the infantry combat over all vehicles in the game. I think some of the other maps I don't play as much would get more attention with a IO option, so I am excited that such an option may be coming soon.

google earth is -ing dumb for the most part, it can't find half the places i've been on holiday yet can find islands with a population of about 10 people no problem
