XPS 410

I'm going to purchase a new computer and I was wondering if this would be a good choice.  Please help I was hoping to spend around $1500 to $2000.  I'm rather new to PC gaming, and love BF2.  Is this a good choice???

Ur kidding right? Of course you are.

Dell, well I'll not start ranting lets just say, if you're serious you wont even go near them.

You reckon you could put together your own PC? You'll get double the performance for cheaper, just gotta plug the stuff in, a bit like big boys lego. A monkey could do it if it could read the instructions lol.

i would build one. its not that hard. newegg.com ftw. you can get a system that is FAR superior to any dell shit for hundreds less.

whatev you do, i would avoid dell. i have a dell laptop and hate it. i had a dell desktop and hated it more. constant issues and tech support that reminds me of the cavemen commercials.

edit: PC Gamer or PC word (one of the two) has a great how-to article on building your own system. it might sound complicated, but the hardest part is...well...not that hard (just have to be gutsy (installing the CPU Cooler)).

If you are set on Dell I recommend these upgrades. It is still in your budget.

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6600 (4MB L2 Cache,2.4GHz,1066 FSB)
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center 2005 Edition with re-installation CD
No Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Selected
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 DIMMs
250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™
Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
19 inch E197FP Analog Flat Panel
512MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX
Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeMusic (D) Sound Card
Also it should be noted that millions of people have and love Dells. Everyones experience is different with a company of that size.

So I would be better off going on Newegg.com, to build my own?  I've never built a computer.  Dell sucks so what should I do?  Am I better off telling my friend who is familar with computer tech my price range and have him build it for me?  I just dont want a crappy compute.r

I would definitely have a friend do it, because my personal experience with dell is very, very bad.
