I bought my own computer which I'm proud of. But what I'm not proud of is that it's a dell. I hate the look and fact that i cant overclock and i don't get my re-install cd for windows. It's christmas and im thiinkin i might get some money. I want to buy a new case, some ram and im gonna save up for a 8800. Would it be hard to take all the parts from my dell and put them into a new case.

Cheers for any help!

It shouldn't be that hard, and any case would make it look better... Until you started it up...

Dell (I think) uses inverted ATX, so you shouldn't have any problems there. Though, they may actually use BTX (not real sure).

However, a lot of their components are custom made so that only Dell products will fit, so as Stealth said, good luck.

custom build. dells solder their components down on some occasions.. and i talk from experience

their psus are EXTREMELY poor and could no way hold an 8800, let alone the fact your DELL has a PCI-Express x16 slot.

You can build a new rig for under or around 1000$ that will play BF2 on all high settings.1

Going through the same mess over the upcoming holidays.  I was hoping to use the Dell case, but it sounds like I am not going to be able to.  But right now i am going to change the mobo and power supply.  Good luck.  If I have any advice I will let you know.  give me a week or 2.

as much as dell sucks, as long as you didnt get a really really custom beast, you should be able to transfer the stuff without much problem.. area you might run into trouble with is the psu.. sometimes they like to use weird shapes and sizes.. gl

Dude...I got a Dell

Determine the Dimensions of your Motherboard and then you can give those figures to the forums and people who are more savvy with this stuff can help you better, thats just my suggestion lol.

Offtopic - Can anyone link me to any site thats all about G15 Keyboards by Logitech (for LCD Applets)

Don't bother man.  Just live with it until you build your next computer.  Is it really that big of a deal..?
