Hi folks,

Got a little question:
I'm wondering what the best ingame recorder programm is for bf2 (without that the game shows any sign of LAG while recording. Can anyone help?)

I've heard of Gamecam but there is nothing wrong with Fraps, the FPS only shows up while filming.

Used by admins? If a server has Battlerecorder running, you can always download it and look at it yourself. You don't have to be an admin on a server to do that. The server has to have BR tho.

but I just read an article about that says it's only possible by ADMINS
But you say normal players can use it too, can you explain how it works then plz?

I think the confusion here is that ONLY server admins can ENABLE battlerecorder on a server, but ANY player who plays on the server can access the footage captured by battlerecorder.

The problem with this, for players, is if you are trying to make a movie or nail some cheaters to the wall....you have to rely on the server admin to have battlerecorder enabled. However, if you have your own capture program such as FRAPS you can enable the video capture on your own whenever you feel.

yes..... the server must have BR enabled.... but any players can download it

However, BR rarely works on servers, as they have not been set up correctly, and even then, the BR demo is saved as a file that can only be viewed in BF2, and then another video capturing program has to be used to caputre the demo recording.....
