For 25 years old, you should be able to put 2 and 2 together and realize that you are totally overhyping this by thinking it's the end of the world.

Global warming is a load of bollocks.
That's simply not true.

The last time anything in anyway similar to the changes that are heppening at the moment happened was about 270 million years ago. 10 million years ago the Earth was undergoing massive global cooling. You've just said 10 million years as some sort of arbitrary period that sounds like a long time. Of course climate change is naturally occuring, the problem is the rate of change.

Global warming is not a load of bollocks. It is all very simple if you look at the correlations between various graphs of temperature to greenhouse gas emissions (from human sources) the rate of change is directly proportional, coincidence? Of course not. There's a lot of other evidence, but as always, it is the simpler evidence that is the most compelling.

LOL just how up yourselves are you people? You really think thats the pathetic entity that is the human race has that much effect on the world? Get over yourselves.

Yeah the world's getting warmer, news flash, IT'S SUPPOSED TO. Every scaremongers 'scientific' proof of global warming being a big bad thing goes back about 100 years, go back further you realise that the Earth warms and cools all the time, it's a basic side effect of our seasonal system, its these irregularities in the atmosphere that stop the world stagnating.

Just like during one year, your simple little countries get warm in summer and cold in winter, expand that premise to the entire world and extend the time on something remotely proportional and you see we're just going into the planets 'summer'...

EDIT: Grrr typo

Exactly right, Commie.  Good point.

Global warming!  Oh noes!

We simply do not have enough perspective on the earth and its climate cycles to say conclusively that warming is bad.  In the 1970s scientists were howling how global cooling was going to destroy civilization.  The lastest popular theory is that warming will destroy us.  Which is it?  Will it change back to our destruction coming from the cold in another 30 years?  Did you hear about the new cold currents they've found in the Arctic?  Could it be?  The earth is compensating on its own?!?!?  Yes, as it has always done throughout the endless climate cycles it has endured in the past.

"Impossible!  We humans are too powerful, we're destroying the earth!" say the environmentalists.   The earth will do what it wants, with or without the human race.

No sorry the final step is when it gets way too fucked up and storms pop out of nowhere globally, also that these storms are linked and have the SAME properties. To be more Precise, the final step is when the North Atlantic current will disappear because of the enormous quantities of pure water form the ice shelfs, when the Gulf Stream will no longer be and when Paris will get their first snowfall, Thats the "Final Step" and the "beginning of the end" or should we just survive.

2142 Has absolutely NO connection with reality, why, because in 2142 it took 42 years for the earth to get covered by snow, and 2142 is not like the final step, it would look like that if the ice came by the winter, so the sun s'heat could melt it. and give Minsk-map style environment in the summer.

Erm Warlord sweety, the graph shows temperatures falling and rising over a period of 400,000 years (using Vostok measurements anyway), 50,000 year fall 50,000 year rise, rinse and repeat...

EDIT:

Also so you should notice the rise in temperature is rather severe compared to the comparatively slow cooling, hmm sudden rise in temperatures... where have I heard this before. OH YEAH the fucking news, all day every day with the sad attempt at trying to terrify the world.

To use yet another analogy, you ever noticed it's much easier to heat something than to cool it? Seeing the relationship I'm getting at here?

Look at the big red arrow ... and the (-) numbers on the right, and READ what it says. It's like talking to single cell organisms around here.

LMAO!!!! THERE IT IS!!!!! I WAS WAITING TO SEE WHO WOULD DO IT!!!!! Please tell me you don't think that is really the way it will go down....

Holy crap, look... I agree that this is part of the climate cycles, but I also agree that we as humans have accelerated the process. Is it going to "destroy the world??" Hell no, there is no evidence that the Ice Age even effected the equatorial areas.

Now if you live in Canada...

I understand it just fine.

Hows about making an attempt at explaining your point rather than rather weak attempts at putting other peoples intelligence down?

From a psychology PoV it's like you're trying to drag everyone down to below your level rather than make the simple effort of raising your argument.

I will say that here in Indiana the weather has been fairly warm.  I mean shit, its December and the daytime temp has been around 50-60 F.  It did get down to like 18 F for about a week, then warmed back up.  Generally we get snow and its really really cold.  But last winter was fairly warm as well, in the 40s all winter and only snowed once.

I say the global warming is crap.

And we also had a thunderstorm the other day.

Should be ok in Pennsylvania... If not the comet streaking towards Earth will take care of us all unless Bruce Willis can dig the hole deep enough, but then Tommy Lee Jones has to stop the Volcano in L.A. and then the kid has to spot the other comet and ride away on his dirt bike and then run up the mountain with his girlfriend while she carries the baby in a carrier on her chest....

Lay down your personal attacks if it makes you feel better; I was only trying to help you understand the chart from what I was seeing. I see it one way, you see another ... cool. There really isn't any reason to continue this discussion, we've voiced our opinions so let's leave it at that.
