The knife is a one shot to kill weapon, right?

Well if you look in my stats, for example, I have 601 kills with the knife, and 599 hits.
What happened to the two last hits?

Maybe it is a 1,001 shot to kill weapon?

I don't think that's it.. Because I don't get more kills by that reason.

That (what you explained) is only caused by server lag and the "shots" are registered as a miss, not a hit.

Two possibilities:
1. Maybe you threw a grenade then quickly pulled out your knife before the grenade exploded and killed someone? Also, I think AT mine kills are sometimes mistakenly counted towards whatever weapon you're holding.

2. Maybe you killed someone by falling on him? I've done that. If you have your knife out it might count as a knife kill.

AT Mines would be my guess. Quite often if you lay the mines and then die, when you re-spawn and someone hits them, it doesn`t register as a mine kill but what ever weapon your holding/vehicle your in.

really, I have gotten kills for knifing a foot. Maybe the hits not resulting in the enemies death was a vehicle? And to the op, if you have more kills then hits, your question makes no sense. I have gotten 2 kills of one jab on more then one occasion.
