2005 had David Hasselhoff. A rather unassuming guy who used to hang around with blondes with big boobs. Good on him for that, really. Even with being washed up long ago, 2005 saw him having cameos in various movies, albums released, and most people were of the opinion he was some sort of hero.
2006 was the year of Chuck Norris. Being a non-American, I had barely heard of the guy until 2006. Apparently he eats bricks and shits lightning bolts. I wached a movie of his the other day, and was gutted to see no bricks were eaten, nor lightningbolts shat out. I saw some sub-par acting and a few martial arts moves. He seems like a nice guy, but I doubt he does all the things he's famed to do. How can water be "Chuck Norrised" anyway, short of the guy melting like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz?
2006 had him have a cult following, verious statements made about uh... stuff, he even had a, (although short,) chapter in Maddox's book, "The Alphabet of Manliness". I have sent an E-mail to Mr. Norris asking about this trend to see if he knows anything about it, but as of yet, I have recieved no reply. I might add, nor has my Heart exploded and head ripped off by Chuck's mind-powers if he was angry with my 'lack of faith'.
