There are really starting to annoy me. I have an older 27" RCA TV. Just your everyday TV.

When I'm just flipping through channels, it's fine, there's no lines. But whenever I play on my Xbox or watch a DVD, theres lines all over the screen (horizontal ones).

They are kind like the lines you see sometimes on userbars, you know?

I thought this was because I had too much hooked up to the TV (Xbox, DVD player, VHS)

So I unhooked the VHS player, and there are still lines. Very hard to play games with, since you can't see anything in the distance. Only way I can figure out to solve this would be to buy a new TV (which we may next year or something)

Do you guys know anyway to get those stupid lines off my TV?

The lines are most likely because the xbox and the dvd use a higher grade input for picture and the older tv might not be able to handle the improved signal.

Jedikiah's advice.. you have 3 choices..

A) get a new tv

B) Go outside ( I hear the air is good for you )

C) Read a book

Yer TV's buggered. Replace it, or find another hobby.
There's this place called 'outside' that you may or may not have heard of. Great graphics, full force feedback, but they go a bit overboard with the fancy light effects and the weather effects can be a bitch.

Try unhooking the antenna cable from the wall, the TV signal might be causing the disturbance. I get horizontal lines and a buzzing noise when using the TV-out on my PC. ripping out the antenna cable from the wall = presto! Perfect noiseless image!
