Hello, about 2 weeks ago my computer started freezing. Its been a while since I installed any new software. All my drivers are up to date also.
It will freeze doing anything, BF2, media player, msn. It even freezes when its just turned on and left at the log in screen. It also freezes in safe mode. Im led to think its a hardware problem but dont know where to start.

Any help would be super.

AMD 4400 * 2
Gainward 7800GT
2 Gigs of Corsair ram 2*1024
Abit AN8-V mobo
250Gig western Digital HD
Onboard sound

Do a memory test! My computer kept crashing, dying, failing, freezing because my memory was set to 1.9 in de bios by default, whilst it should run on 1.8...apperently that was the problem and now everything is sweeet...

Download, install it to a floppy and boot from that disk. Let it run for at least 8 hours.

i had the screen freeze thing with the 4400. is your cpu overclocked? turn it off. also do the memtest. and also make sure you download the AMD x2 bug fix. it's a bug fix but they call it an optimizer.
