I think maybe you should also get a stripper......or maybe a jar of peanut butter and a basket full of gerbils.

so will this run bf2 and bf2142 oh high at a decent resolution, and is there anyways to improve without making it more expensive, or is there anything i can do to make it cheaper without compromising performance

I would say that setup would be fine, but what level of resolution and what frame rate are you wanting?  Also, how much are you spending on this?

You might want to rethink that case, I think I have seen it in person and it felt a little cheap.  I have a Aspire X-dreamer case and it has really good quality and case fans as well.  Check it out!

i will be getting it from a local store, custom built, it only ends up being Around $200 more expensive than on www.i-tech.com.au and the other on line Australian shops, that way if something stuffs up i don't have to spend money sending it back to the manufacture and stuff

TBH i would save the money and go for the 1900. There is no point splashing the cash on old technology when DX10 is here / around the corner.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, you'll be able to get a pretty decent frame rate on that system if its at that resolution.  You can check out my setup at the bottom of my sig.  I get about 45 to 60 fps @ 1600x1200 on medium.  Honestly you really don't need to run the game on high, it doesn't make that much of a difference.

He's right ^^^^.  As dx10 is out (although ATI havent released theres) theres no sense splashing the cash on a card that will be OLD old tech in a year.  Component's always get replaced but right now is possibly the worst time to buy a new pc, with all the hardware/software changes going on at the moment.  Again, that happens pretty constantly, however its a pretty major step 2006/2007 tech sooo I suggest you save, and wait till around late summer for a cheaper DX10 card.  No idea what ATI plan to call there actual card's (think the code name is R600) but let's say they stick to this chronolgical order, get yourself a 2650 .  IF they call it that, whatever, mid range ATI Dx10 card in the summer.

If you buy that 1900/1950, I would bet your going to be livid when it becomes uncompatible with the dx10 only games.

any idea what the timings are on that RAM? I'm pretty sure they are 4-4-4-12 but just check.
