Master of Puppets for me definitely. Black Album was the beginning of their commercialization and everything just went downhill from there.

Ride The Lightning:
My favourite song of all time "Fade to Black".. it just owns face.
And Bellz. and Call of Kthulu for its sheer brilliance.
Master of Puppets:
the opening track title "Battery" describes perfectly what you get here: a charged up, powerful assault.
best tracks: Battery, Puppetz, Sanitarium, ORION (bass solo)
...And Justice for All:
gone again are the 4 minute masterpieces.. replaced with 7 minute average length ones!
simply awesome.

i wont choose the obvious Enter Sandman as my favourite..
instead.. its "Of Wolf and Man" or anything after and including "Nothing Else Matters"

Metallica should have change their name after "...And Justice For All". The four that voted for St. Anger probably didn't know the previous Albums existed. They are using this forum to broaden their horizons.

Metallica is one of my favorite bands, but all the albums after the Black Album are a piece of shit. The Black Album is Metal for Everyone, my wife likes that album. God bless Metallica for Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, and let them burn in hell for St. Anger.

Some albums sound pretty crappy, but what makes them worse are the covers. Blood and semen? Ewww.
They are such sellouts. Only the old stuff is good.

Ride the Lightning is my favorite (For whom the Bell tolls and The Call of Klutu omg), simply because it was the first I listened to, and it initiated me to thrash metal. Master of Puppets is definitely the best of all (Disposable Heroes, Master of Puppets, Battery, Sanitarium) , Kill'em All is so fucking awesome (The Four Horsemen !!) and ...And Justice for All, nuff said.
I don't listen to others much, some tracks are good, but some are, in the other hand, terrible.

It's a cold tie for me between Kill Em All and Ride The Lightning.
Kill Em All because of Seek And Destroy, Whiplash and The Four Horsemen. Also Anaesthia gave me as a bass player something to aspire to, and being able to play that song is absolutely brilliant.
Ride The Lightning mostly because of For Whom The Bell Tolls and Fade To Black. Call of Ktulu is also good.
Everything after And Justice For All is total shit, it is when they lost the music and started lusting after the money. In my deepest opinion everything post Cliff Burton is no good and yes i know that means I like And Justice For All is bad. Mostly because the bass on that album is totally rooted by the horrible mix they gave that album. Finally the vocals suck from Black Album onwards because James Hetfield's voice changed and lost that awesome high pitched sort of sound it had.
And Lars Ulrich is a cunt.
