refering to this post : http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?pi … 2#p1070482

i decided to piss my parents off, i made a user for me and for them, mine if the administrator and they are with the normal use, and i do have a password to enter into my ''windows''.

Question 1: Why when i install bf2 or xfire, ts, vent or fraps it also install it on the other windows, how to only install it only on mine ??

Question 2: If they run windows on safe mode they will be able to enter my user wich is the administrator or theirs NO WAY POSSIBLE they enter it without my password?

Thx in advance for all your help

You cant install to one user only.

However if you go into your explorer (Right click start, explore) you will find a shared desktop folder.

You can remove any desktop items that you do not wish them to see/use from here making it appear the program is not installed.

This should work fine unless your parents start to really dig around and see what you have installed.

You can install to one user on xp only, when i install programs it gives me the option to install for all users or just me.

yeah good point yeah it will give u an option like greenboi said if your computer uses multiple users if you want to install the current program for multiple users or only for ur own account. Also if you are an admin you can make choices whihc files can be accessed by other lower staff. For example you can gray out all of the folders and stuff for bf2 so only and admin can access those aka important files. Or you can configure your computer management files in the computer management under local users and groups and from there configure which users can access which files this is typically what schools do when they dont want you to temper with their windows core files so you have a limited option of changing certain files or making changes too. In your case you would just label bf2 contents all of its folders and stuff as something significant which other users might not be able to see or temper with since you are system admin.

hint i just realized 4_Phucsache kind of covered this topic a bit.

It'd be funny if they ran a password recovery utility, and made it so you couldn't login to your own computer. Then they could rightfully put the "YOU GOT OWNED!" picture as your user image.

maybe you should listen to your parents and take a break from BF2m show them that u are responsible then start playing again.
