Im making a mipmap(or possibly more than 1) of a dds file and have a script to do so.  Dont really know much about this, but it all seemed like it would be pretty easy.  When I go to do so and click okay after opening the script I get an error...

Error 8800: General Photoshop Error Occurred.
-The command "Set" is not currently available.

->   baseLayer.name = "Base" +w;


I would get help from more qualified people, but bf2s was the quickest thing to do and I know some people on here are very familiar with photoshop.  I know this is a generic question for help, and thats because I am really clueless lol.

Errors like that are usually a result of a missing action. I am no expert with dds files but that has been my experience with PS.

What's a mipmap & what's a .dds file?
I use Photoshop for about 45% of my income & have been doing so since version 6 but I'm not familiar with either of those terms.
I might be able to help if you can explain it to me a little bit more.

*Edit:* Did you make the script or did you download it from somewhere? Are you sure it's worked for other people if you did dl it?

.dds is a direct draw surface file... its used in the BF series amongst other things....

heres a link to the nvidia .dds tools(they are free and work with ATI cards also)

are you making textures for a model or terrain textures for BF2?

most of the BF2 textures are DXT1 unless theres an alpha channel(for glass...see through)

Sorry then if it's 3D stuff I doubt I can help, unless you want to send me the files your using so i can try to recreate the problem
Then again if it's custom built BF stuff I doubt you want to give the files away, just offering.
