Waaaait a minute, where did I say sex was bad?!?!  My wife and I have been married almost 5 years, we have 2 kids now and we still make love at least 4 times a week. Damn near moved the bed across the room Sunday night! Of course sex is designed to be fun.  When is it ever NOT fun between two consenting adults?  Afterwards is what I'm addressing.  If there's no commitment, a lot of heartache can result.  I've seen too many couples basing their relationships off of sex and they don't bother to grow the rest of the relationship and really get to know and love one another.  Then when things get tough, what do they have to stand on? Nothing.  Relationships take work and if there's only sex, it won't last and at least one and probably two hearts are needlessly put through pain.  Notice I said relationship in the above post, not marriage.  At the very least the two having sex should have some sort of long term relationship or they're being irresponsible. 

My personal belief is that humans are not a higher animal but that's a separate subject. Or is it?  If I believe I'm just an animal then I can justify banging everything in sight because it's "just instinct".  That's how STDs spread.  Since we are capable of higher thought, we should use our brain and be responsible with our sex lives.  And the "wear a condom and it'll all be ok" line is bs.  Yes, they usually prevent pregnancy, but not always.  They do not protect from STDs either. 

It's my personal belief that it is best to keep sex inside marriage.  Then if a child is conceived, he/she will be born into a committed relationship.  If two people are just screwing and haven't decided if they're going to stay together, they haven't built a foundation for a family yet if a child results.

This report resulted from a meeting of 28 experts convened at the NIH by the National Institute on Allergy & Infectious Diseases in conjunction with the US Centers for Disease Control. The report reiterates that condoms are highly effective in preventing transmission of HIV and can reduce the transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases. However, some stories in the media have incorrectly concluded that the NIH report found condoms to be ineffective and that there is 'no such thing as safer sex.' Public Health reemphasizes the importance and effectiveness of condoms, when used consistently and correctly, in protecting against transmission of HIV and other STDs.

You forgot to post this part, which was essentially my point.

I should have clarified further and stated condoms are not 100% effective.  Wearing a condom does not eliminate all risk, though it may help.  There are still STDs transmitted skin-to-skin.  And what if the condom breaks and it isn't noticed until afterward?  The man might contract or transmit an STD.
