I bought myself / recieved a christmas gift in the form of a 22' widescreen with native 1680x1050 resolution, but I can not select this resolution ingame in bf2142. Anyone know why? It should be supported? Or am I misinformed?

Thats a widescreen resolution isn't it?

Well, none of the BF games support widescreen resolutions, so you're out of luck there.

That +szx 1680 +szy 1050 being what exactly? Crap. I was sure I heard that BF 2 and BF 2142 supported this resolution! That blows.. :-(

You can force BF2 and BF2142 to any resolution you want.

Just do a search for widescreen and I'm sure one fo the posts will have the required additions to the command line on the icon.

EDIT: This is what you want

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Right click your BF2142 icon and you'll see a line of text for the startup parameters, it needs to look like this for the resolution you want to run.

Remember, the quotes go around the path of the exe only. You need quotes, one at the start one at the end of the filename. Do not wrap the switches in the quotes.

Just do + fullscreen 0, that should solve your problems, good for looking on the net n' stuff.
