My new machine will be here wednesday (12/27) & I wanted to see exactly how much better it was.......never will I go 2 whole years without making a single upgrade! This is embarrassing.

Anybody else that's done 3DMark, what did you get? And I thought the 8800GTX was the best graphics card out, the top scores on the site were all Radeon Crossfire's?

I got 3603 in 3DM06.

The 8800GTX may be NVidia's newest latest, but two of ATi's best will beat it any time.

That game has been considered the pinnacle of DirectX 9-based game programming and has humbled even ATI's mighty Radeon X1950 XT CrossFire setup, which can barely pass 60 frames per second (fps) with no antialiasing. But the GeForce 8800 GTX blew past ATI's highest-end configuration, scoring 64fps on that test.

what are your specs, believe it or not not olny GPUs matter, even mobos and HDDs cound here

I really don't remember most of it actually but I think I'm gettin old because I swear to god I just listed everything the other day.

Was lowish-high-end, was $2,000 when I bought it 2 years ago but Sony is almost as bad as Alienware with over pricing (so say maybe $1,500)
