I tried taking this test, but my computer reached out and slapped me, then locked itself in the bathroom and cried for an hour from the embarrassment.

I just reran 06 and got a slightly higher score than before:

2 years ago it was lowish-level, today it gets 2 bigass thumbs down[AH1z]PJ wrote:
how good is that gpu you have.....
although it does handle BF2 ok.
I do have a Media Center PC (2002 edition though) so it's good enough to watch cable Tv
I'll repost on Wednesday when I get my new puter (AMD 64 X2 4600, 8800 GTX, 2GB DDR2, nForce 590 SLI Mobo) & see if I can't get a little bit better rating
*Edit:* fixed CPU spec, had 6400 but meant 4600

My new machine will be here wednesday
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI Motherboard
2GB DDR2 (PC2 6400) SDRAM @ 800MHz (1024mb x 2)
RAID 0 - 500GB (2 x 250GB) 3Gb/s 7,200 rpm w/ 2 x 8mb cache
768mb NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX
700w Multi GPU Approved Power Supply
Samsung SyncMaster 20.1" 5ms LCD
Generic Hi-Def 7.1 Sound Card
Logitech 5.1 280w Speakers
Was gonna cancel my Alienware order but they started cutting money off as soon as i said the word "cancel" plus they bumped up my shipping & cut the shipping price altogether.
I think I ended up gettin $250 shaved off (they just gave me one little thing for free, can't remember what it was though) which means it only would have been $200-300 more than what I was gonna order from NewEgg anyway (although the newegg puter woulda had an Intel CPU).
I read X1950 XT crossfire does atain a higher fps (2 fps infact) than the 8800GTX on the highest pixel displays, on Doom 3 and F.E.A.R.Kmarion wrote:

We'll focus on frame rates. Our highlight here is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That game has been considered the pinnacle of DirectX 9-based game programming and has humbled even ATI's mighty Radeon X1950 XT CrossFire setup, which can barely pass 60 frames per second (fps) with no antialiasing. But the GeForce 8800 GTX blew past ATI's highest-end configuration, scoring 64fps on that test.

Dude, just wait till the R600 comes out and WTFPWNZ the G80...just like ATi has done forever. The Stillhouse Kid wrote:
I'll be damned, I would have figured they'd do better than that. Sucks to be an ATi fan with that setup! Nvidia FTW!Kmarion wrote:

Seems like AMD and ATI fans have been doing alot of "waiting" lately.CrazeD wrote:

Kmarion, do you know if its normal for a core2 processor to give 0-1 fps on 3dmark06 CPU tests?

this test run ok, but now my screen is all fucked up, everything looks stretched.
I am getting 8117.
From:
A8N-SLi Premium
4400 X2
8800GTX
CORSAIR XMS 2GB DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)
I can only imagine what I could pop with a new board and Intel CPU.
And my 7950 GX2 scored 4609 right before it? ACK

Yes, my frames are low on the cpu test as well. A score over 8k is not bad at all.SpaceApollyon wrote:
