I just bought a G5 mouse and i has a weight cartrige in it...Any idea what the idea weight for a mouse would be?

play with it and you will understand......some people really freak out when they use a mouse and the weight in it helps to slow it down a little........mess with the weights and see what works best for you....personally i like them more lightweight, but to each his own. enjoy your very kick ass mouse.

I don't think there's any ideal weight, it's just what everyone prefers to use. I personally prefer light 'cos it's easier to move it around then

I use the 4.5g (Black weights) on the corners, and the 1.5g (silver ones) in the center.  Like the other post say, it more of a personal setting then any thing.

I put all the black ones in mine. It's more precise, and you have more control over it.

I have mine the exact same way, 4 black & 2 silver...

Well, if there was an ideal weight for a mouse, wouldn't you think that the weight would be set and not be adjustable?

Play around, find what you like. Sometimes you just can't tell if you want it heavier or lighter so put some in, take some out, fiddle.

When I had my G5, I used 4 silver (1.7g) weights in the front and sides.
