i looked inside to figure mine out. take of the heatsink and you can read it off the processor, and the mobo info should be printed on it somewhere.

you could have a look in Hardware/Device manager but its not very clear
Everest does it well, should be able to find the demo on download.com
program called cpu-z, very tiny download, will tell you everything.

get a hammer and smash in the side of your case. The mobo is the biggest piece of plastic in there. if you see any smaller pieces of plastic or copper attached to it, smash those with the afore mentioned instrument until you have an unobstructed view of your quarry. At this point you should be able to read some kind of name and s/n. good luck!

Google SIW, and install, it tells you everything about your PC, CdKeys, passwords, the whole bloody lot
