Wow you're like the only person I've seen with Songhua Stalmate as their most played map. +1voltage wrote:

It would have been better if there haven't been so many APCs. They are not needed with all the jeeps and boats and the relatively short distances between flags.
My tip for playing Songhua Stalemate:
* when on foot or light vehicle: never use the roads (this applies to most maps actually).
* use the boats (but again: not on the (water covered) roads, that's suicide)
* swim. You can learn where and how to swim to decrease the danger of getting caught in the water. Generally the shortest path is seldom the best.
What, and lose my ability to see around me?ReTox wrote:

I hate the map. Mainly because I keep sinking FAVs due to the lack of decent perspective from the driving seat stopping me from finding the edge of the fords.
I look like a freaking idiot, swimming away from a flaming sinking jeep half the time, swimming through a swamp with a rocket on my back, or wedging APCs between buildings.
Then look at the radar. It shows the routes to take - i.e. land and water. Thats what I do.Skorpy-chan wrote:

Ive only got 3hours on the map, but loved every second of it. Its such a good and balanced map. I love it when the US and PLA main bases just switch hands, reversing the map. No other map in the game is like this (maybe Mashtuur).
Would love to see a 24/7 server running Songhua. I only ever see American servers running the map in their rotation, and I get 150+ ping on those select few = kicked
+1 to voltage for Songhua as most played!!
Stalemate, its always a blast, mainly when the enemy gets down to one flag, man those arty strikes hit hard on that map !
Songhua 64 would rock. If there was a server for that, I'd play 24/7.

There used to be a TV2 24/7 Songhua. I had it in my favourites for about 3 months. Not once did I see anyone on it, except for myself a few times trying to seed itFenris_GreyClaw wrote:

its a great map i wish i could just find more servers running it
I wouldn't have been able to play on it, the server being in England and all...Snake wrote:

here in Australia we have severs like [Armor], [Flyboys] and IO servers. Sometimes i jump in the Armor servers just for a round, but I'm not much of a tanker.
I consider myself to be a patient player (I play Project Reality Mod after all) but Stalemate just bores me to tears... I can only rememebr playing it once where I had a ton of fun and it was because for some reason I had a magical mounted machine gun that couldn't miss... it was a blast. Other than that, the fog really bothers me (I play on a laptop). Oh well, to each his own.
Woot, so that's how Songhua's icon looks.voltage wrote:
