90% of the times i join a squad there will be 0 teamplay noone will bother following orders so i rather spend that time as a lonewolf. Now i only join a squad if i know the leader is at least trying to lead.
When your squad works as a team you get alot more points but that very unlikley due to smacktards
I'm always a lonewolf. All I like to do is find a good hiding place with my sniping rifle and provide sniping cover for my team. They hardly ever notice that I am there and my tendency to become a sniping lonewolf never bothered anybody.

Squads a often made up for the teamleader time served. Those squads spell team with an I.
But i agree with you. Nothing bothers me more than uncontrolable soldiers or 'loose' squads.

Too often i sit on a dead Titan and i have to either A.) abandon the kit i wanted to play or B.) just accept that there will be no support like ammo and RPV or using the Titan guns.
The only point of the Titan guns is to get shot down by someone who wants the easy points.
There should be a incentive to be commander. The x2 for a victory isn't enough it seems. And i must admit, the only reason i want to be commander is to get the hours in, because it's boring.
But take your responsibility and command now and again, so others can play too.

I love being in a squad but you have to have a competent squad leader and a commander who will give orders. Best squad leader I've played with in 2142 was a fella called Dwarfwarrior. Cool dude and a really good leader. We maxed out every field upgrade three times over. If I feel or I am doing better off alone, (too often unfortunately) I'll go out on my pwn.

Also if you are in a squad you have at least a chance to get some "bonus" points. If you are not in one you don't even have a chance.
Plus some medals and badges are dependant on actually having time as a squad member or leader. I just can't see how you can argue against not being in a squad, period.
i find 85% of the time i join a squad and the SL will not issue orders, or will issue an attack order 2 flags away when we are pinned down, or my favorite the move into the middle of nowhere order. or ill spawn on the level headed SL... right between the legs of an enemy Walker.

maybe they should consider a penalty for SM's outside the radius and SL's per minute the squad is not issued orders.
such as it is, all my unlocks depend on field upgrades, so as a SM valid orders are mandatory
