You have to log into BF2142 using the same name you'd log into the EA forums with, not the ID you chose. Once you login with your EA id then the James-M id should show up in your player list.

They won't care, its a lot of crap anyways, you get the trademark 2 next to ur name in TAB and start off with 40 points more than someone who doesnt (as we all know)  How hard is that to get in a round, maybe two, unless your a n00b .  Go stats pad your 40 points if that will make you feel better, in game knowone really gives a shit about whos a vet or not.

Yeah! I think the veterans program closed the middle of November, but the webpage is still up.

Well thats wrong..... I registered for the Vet status when it was announced then refused ti buy the game due to advertising......anyhow...I got bought the game for christmas.....rude not to play a gift ...installed logged in to EA with my Login name....and there was my reserved Player name....clicked on it and whey hey Veteran status including promotion and unlock....so it still works..

Wtf do you want that BIG RED 2 in your tag for?  So, all the other noobs can aim better at you, no thanks.  I played almost 800 hrs BF2 and I don't want the 2 in my tag.
