I'm about to buy a webcam, but I know nothing....

Are there any good ones, or are they all the same? I just want one to see my new nephew. It doesn't need to be super-duper. But if I'm going to buy one, it may as well be good enough that I can see who I'm talking too...lol.

What brands are good? and more importantly, what specs should be taken into consideration.

(Sorry if this was posted before, I couldn't find it)

if you want to keep it simple, don't get those fancy ones with 3000000000000x zoom and stuff.

You get bang for your buck from them, even with the very basic ones.

megapixels is what counts... the more, the better quality. i have a crappy $30 logitech and its great! can record and everything.

I use my playstation eyetoy as a webcam, and the quality is soo much better than the majoirty of webcams other people have

My Creative webcam is about 4 years old but still very good quality, remember expense doesnt always mean good quality

I have a Creative Webcam that cost me £20 and it's an alright webcam for the price. It does all I want it to do.

I suppose Logitech are the best, yeh, but Creative are good too.
